History Of Use
George DeWitt 1929-1987. Mr. DeWitt was very active in the community. He was the Building Supervisor for the Federal Building and served as a president and vice president for the BV Museum. For more info, see Historical Research file: DeWitt,George. This basket appears to have been used to serve food as it is not strong nor does it have a tight enough weave to be used for cooking.
