- A handmade aparejo, or saddle pack, of reddish-brown leather.
- Narrative
- It was not common in the north and is of Mexican or Spanish origin. (Noted in accession notes)
- History Of Use
- Used by the donor on the Yukon Telegraph Line in 1928-1936, and later for carrying supplies on big game hunts and government survey expeditions north from Hazelton along the Skeena watershed.
- Significance
- July 9, 1988: Visitor to museum said it was very valuable and was sought after by collectors in Arizona. The Aparejo was pads for the pack. The pack was called "Alforja."

- Half a propeller from the B-36 bomber. Green in colour with a yellow tip. It has a vary large dent in the centre. Bolted into a mount with wheels. The maker mark reads: "Electric Propellers" and "CONSTANT SPEED".

- Rockhound backpack with a metal frame and a dark green canvas bag attached. The metal frame has remnants of green paint, most of which has chipped away. Wire binding is secured by small metal pins. Visible holes and cracks throughout. Barrel is greyish in color and stained. Bottom of barrel has four fitted wooden slats forming round shape secured by one wooden slat running the opposite direction and nailed to out diameter of barrel.

- No known personal history on the donor at this time. From past cataloguing, it was stated only that this basket was made by Interior First Nations people, quite possibly the Salish. The design is made with Cherry bark and Spruce root. The Salish technique is such that if the basket was soaked, it would become water tight and could then be used in cooking, by placing hot stones inside. There are Coast & Interior Salish.

- George DeWitt 1929-1987. Mr. DeWitt was very active in the community. He was the Building Supervisor for the Federal Building and served as a president and vice president for the BV Museum. For more info, see Historical Research file: DeWitt,George. This basket appears to have been used to serve food as it is not strong nor does it have a tight enough weave to be used for cooking.
