History / Biographical
Fred and Ann Heal moved with their eight children from Victoria to the Bulkley Valley in 1903, settling near Tyhee Lake. They were among the earliest European settlers to farm in the Valley. Ann served as Aldermere's postmistress and was the first mining recorder in the Valley.
