- This is one of 11 photographs sent by the donor from the Alice Eggleston Estate. Alice was the daughter of Willis Eggleston, an early contractor in the Bulkley Valley. Mr. Eggleston was originally from Iowa and worked in the contracting business in Cal

- Alice Eggleston, in a dark hat and coat sitting on a very large hay stack. This photograph was probably taken during the trip she and her family made in 1910 back to the States where they visited relatives in Iowa before going on to Los Angeles for the winter. On the back of the photograph is written 'On the farm. Salem, Iowa.1910.'
