- Two robberies (Nov. 1913 and April 1914) were committed by the same men at the New Hazelton Union Bank. A wrong suspect was shot and killed after the first robbery, and three robbers were shot and killed in the second robbery. A total of $19,400 was taken and there were seven Russian robbers in total. All were eventually caught.
