- History / Biographical
- This house was built in 1915 by the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway for its Smithers superintendent. It was apparently the first house in Smithers with modern plumbing. Joe and Jean MacDonald purchased the house in 1940 and raised three sons there. The house was sold in 1980 and relocated in 1988. (See Interior News, August 10th 1988, front page).
