History / Biographical
Elsie 'Else' Widing Dahlie (1901-2001) immigrated from Norway to Canada with her three children in 1929, joining her husband Chris in Alberta. The family moved to Smithers in 1933 and became well-known for their expertise in skiing and their promotion of this sport in the Valley.
