- Photo depicts the first helicopter ever to land in Smithers and work in the area. It was chartered from Okanagan Air Services and local men were hired to work on a topographical survey team.
- Custodial History
- Item was lent to the museum by Marcella Edmonds Love sometime prior to 2016 (likely between 2007 and 2014) along with other photographs related to Smithers' aviation history. They were found in collections in early 2021; two of the photos were officially donated and accessioned while the rest were returned to Love's daughter Lorna Perry.
