Fossil of a Ginkgo leaf. The rock in which the fossil is embedded is a finely laminated, light-brown shale and has been trimmed inta a rectangular shape. The fossil is dark brown in color. The rock has been broken through the midsection but has been taped together on the back.

History Of Use
Ginkgo adiantoides fossil found at Driftwood Creek fossil beds. The Ginkgois native to China. Only Ginkgo biloba exists today but doesn't grow wild. This species only lives in Chinese and Japanese temple gardens.
