- An irregularly flat piece of slate-like rock with a Metasequoia shaped fossil on face and faint, small insect fossil on the other face. This insect fossil is of chief interest for this artifact as it is uncommon. In an e-mail exchange between Dr. Bruce Archibald, a professor at SFU, and Tony L'Orsa, a local geologist, Bruce identified it as a parasitoid wasp.Bruce suggested they are related to the ichneumonidae or braconidae groups of modern insects.
