Description
a) A round white cracker tin with navy blue detailing. There is a picture of three square crackers on each side with 'KRISPY' printed in the center of each cracker. 'SUNSHINE' is printed in red lettering on each side with 'KRISPY CRACKERS' printed in bold navy blue letters underneath. Also marked on the tin is "TRADE-MARKS SUNSHINE AND KRISPY REGISTERED" in small blue letters and in larger red block letters underneath is "FLAKY-THIN SLATINES". In smaller letters are the ingredients "CRISPY, FLAKEY AND FLAVORFUL, CONTAINING FLOUR, SHORTENING, POWERED WHEY, SALT, SODA, YEAST". Noted in white small lettering on a small blue rim at bottom of tin is "FROM THE THOUSAND WINDOW BAKERIES" and on the opposide side on the same blue rim in white lettering is "SUNSHINE BISCUITS, INC., NEW YORK, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A." A small piece of masking tape with "SALT" written in pencil is located on one side of tin. b)The blue lid for the tin.
History Of Use
Tin and lid used to store crackers originally and was later used for storing salt by Mrs. Lottie Oliarny.
