- On November 30th 2001, Lake Kathlyn Elementary School students participated in a Witsuwit'en blanket feast at which was presented a button blanket made as a school-wide cultural project the previous year.

- Textual records were stored with BVM records for an unknown period of time before being found and formally accessioned into the Discrete Item Collection in May 2020. On October 20th 2020 they were transferred to the newly-created Smithers Community Services Association fonds.
