Description
Trigonia fossil has nine dark, grey almost black shiny triangular shellfish impressions in a dark, grey, jagged sedimentary rock. On the opposite side of this fossil are raised impressions of clams, some are a greyish-white, dull color and others are almost black and shiny. Approximately fourteen on this side. A '12' in black numbering on a round, white circle exists on the trigonia side of fossil.
History Of Use
Trigonia fossil has triangular shellfish fossils on one side and clams on the other. This fossil was found in Terrace.

History Of Use
Ammonite fossil was found in Terrace, B.C. and is known as one of the most important groups of fossils for dating Mesozoic rocks as they changed very rapidly with time and had wide geographical distributions.

History Of Use
A total of 40 fossils have been originally accessioned, however only 38 recovered to date. Some of fossils have been specifically identified but 18 have been categorized as unknown. These fossils were found at McDonell Lake area.

Description
A-Light-beige colored shale is triangular shaped with one third of fossil covered with a back section of fish. Distinct vertebrate and scales are noticeable in a darker color brown. Measurements include 12cm in length by 12.5cm wide and .5cm thick. B-Not located. C-Light-beige colored shale is rounded triangular shaped with half of fossil covered with a darker brown colored impression of the back part of a fish and tail. Measurements include 21cm in length by 12.5cm wide and .5cm thick. D-Smaller light-beige colored shale is triangular shaped with the tail portion of fossil covering most of this sample. Measurements include 13.5cm in length by 7cm wide and .5cm thick.
History Of Use
These two fossils from the Driftwood Creek are two halves and a mirror image of themselves. They feature three sections of a fish fossil that fit together. Fossil sample B has not been located. The three located pieces of the fossil fit together.

History Of Use
Fish fossil are two halves or a mirror image of two cross sections of a fish. Two fins and spine are evident. Fossil was found at the Driftwood Creek fossil beds. The fossils beds date to the Eocene Period, 43-52 millions ago.

A-Large rock fossil is a dark grey color with rusty-brown areas throughout. An indented shallow suggests the fan shell or pinna impression. The surface of rock fossil is smooth and non-porous. Measurments include 18.5cm long by 14cm wide by 10cm deep. B-Small rock fossil is a dark grey color with rusty-brown areas throughout. On opposite side of number is a pelecypod or small clam impression. Measurements include 6.5cm long by 6.5cm wide by 2cm deep. C-Smaller rock fossil is a dark grey color with rusty-brown areas throughout. A pelecypod or small clam impression exists on one side of rock fossil. Measurements include 7cm long by 3cm wide by 2.5cm deep.
History Of Use
Large rock fossil was identified by Tony L'Orsa as a pinna (fan shell) and the two smaller loose pieces are pelecypod (small clams).

Fossil of fish was recovered at Driftwood Canyon October 1994. Fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals are classified as vertebrates because they have internal skeletons of cartilage or bone.
