- John Wilfred Watson was born August 6, 1915 to Fredrick Stubbs and Catherine Mary Watson in Smithers, B.C. Wilfred married Stella Alberta [Albertina] McIntee in 1945, and lived in Smithers, B.C. He worked in the family business, the Watson's Store, and was proprietor of the Hudson Hotel, and the Lakeside Motel near Lake Kathlyn.
