Description
Glass bottle of Dr. Pierce's Favorite Prescription contained in a cardboard box. Bottle is rectangular with a pink, white, and black label on the front. Label lists directions for use and a list of symptoms that would necessitate a person to take the contents. Stamped in glass on side of bottle is 'R. V. Pierce, M. D.'. Stamped in glass on other side of bottle is 'Buffalo, N. Y.'. Stamped in glass on bottom of bottle is '84 A P 3'. There is a black and white folded advertisement stuck to the back of the bottle. There is a black screw-on lid on top. The white cardboard box is covered with red and blue printing extolling the benefits of contents and directions for use.

a: Pinkish rectangular cardboard box. Three of the sides have a picture of a lady in a gold colored frame. Under the frame is 'LYDIA E. PINKHAM' in stylized hand writing. All the sides and flaps have 'LYDIA E. PINKHAM, VEGETABLE COMPOUND" on them except for one side. This one side describes product contents and uses. There is also "CAUTION: KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN". Below that is the same notice but it is in French. Near the bottom of the front and back sides is "WITH VITAMIN B1, (THIAMIN), NO. 22105, THE PROPRIETARY OR PATENT MEDICINE ACT". The "DIRECTIONS" and "LYDIA E. PINKHAM MEDICINE COMPANY, COBOURG, ONT., CANADA, CONTENTS 14 1/2 FLUID OUNCES, 428 C.C., EXPIRY DATE 3-68, LOT 20". Handwritten on the top right hand side of the flap is "179". Also on this flap is "TRADE MARK REGISTERED" in both French and English. B) The bottle is oval with rounded shoulders and a short neck. One side of the bottle has a long pink rectangular label on it. The label has the same inscription as the box (a). Embossed on the other side of the bottle is "14 1/2 ounces., LYDIA E. PINKHAM, MEDICINE". Also embossed is "MADE IN CANADA" on the bottom of the bottle. C) Rectangular white paper pamphlet extolling the virtues of the product on "female problems".

Manufactured by Lydia E. Pinkham Medicine Company Cobourg, Ont., Canada. Contents used for relief of menstrual problems.

Stamped into glass on sides in 'LINIMENT' on one side and 'RUNDLE'S' on the other side. Lid is light blue with white writing which reads 'RUNDLE'S PRODUCTS' and has a logo. c: folded paper directions and uses for the liniment. There is an English side and a French side. The paper shows that the liniment is used for many things such as: stomach aches or cramps, directions for poultry, cattle, horses etc.
History Of Use
Rundle's liniment in a bottle manufactured by 'THE GEO. H. RUNDLE & SON CO. LTD., WINDSOR, ONTARIO'. Used both internally and externally as a liniment for the relief of various ailments such as muscular aches, toothaches, stomach aches.
