Description
Part A is a square shaped black case for the ammeter. It has a leather strap that is held together by a buckle across the top. The lid is closed by a metal clasp that requires a key to unlock. The key is tied to the case at the top. Part B is the ammeter. It is square, made of black metal and is supported by four feet. On the top are three silver adjustment dials. There is a measurement scale with an indicating needle covered by class. A plate on the front of the ammeter reads: "WESTON ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENTS CORP / MODEL 1 NO 53645 / NEWARK. N.J. U.S.A." Part C is a small paper certification card for the Ammeter. It repeats the serial number for the instrument, and in handwriting indicates the resistance, Ampere Range, temperature that would need to be known by someone using the ammeter. The certification is dated 1943. Part D is a paper envelope in which the certification card is held. The serial number 53645 is repeated on this envelope.

History Of Use
Methyl salicylate (oil of wintergreen) can be prescribed as a topical treatment for muscle and joint pain. It is also used as additive for flavour in gum and candy. If ingested undiluted or in high doses, it can be toxic or potentially lethal.

Description
2009.5.1a is the compass. It is black and silver, with white and red writing on it. The centre has a piece that sticks out labelled TRUE COURSE, which has two glass levels with fluid still sealed inside. 2009.5.1b is the wooden box that holds the compass. It has a hinged lid that is held closed by two clasps, one of which is missing. On the front of the box is written ASTRO COMPASS MK II / REF. NO. 6A 1174 / CANADA / DOMINION ELECTRIC PRODUCTION COMPANY. The final line of text is obscured but known from other sources. The number 367 is written on one side in white, one side in red, and on the top of the box in red. The box had a strap that would stretch behind or over the box, but it is broken and a piece missing.
History Of Use
Astro Compass: WW2 Navigation compass, used in Alberta in a 1-80 Settler plane. Used for mapline surveying, which required an almanac to set up, and adjustments were made every 10 minutes while in flight. The compass would be operated out of the left window of a plane, and had to be set up before you took flight.

Description
A cream-colored rectangular baby powder tin. The tin has a round shaker lid consisting of seven holes in a circle pattern. The lid moves enabling the holes to be open or closed. Stamped in the center of the lid is 'M, 69 cents'. A pink lattice design is around the top and near the bottom of the sides. On two of the sides are "JOHNSON'S BABY POWDER" and "PUREST PROTECTION" that's in a pink banner. Below the banner is "JOHNSON & JOHNSON". The two remaining sides have a picture of a lady holding a baby. Beside and below this picture is "FRAGILE..., HANDLE WITH JOHNSON"S...THE PUREST PROTECTION". In the middle of the panel on one side are the names of four other Johnson products, stating what they are used for. Below that is "JOHNSON & JOHNSON, LIMITED, MONTREAL". On the other side in the middle of the panel are four different descriptions, stating how pure the product is and what kind of protection it gives. Below that is "9 ozs., MADE IN CANADA"

Round, cylindrical tin with dull, metal coloring and 'MAGIC BAKING POWDER PURE WHOLESOME' embossed on a top round lid. '7FF' is embossed on the very bottom of can. Glue residue on the side suggesting a possible label existed at one time.
