History Of Use
Rawleigh's liniment bottle apparently used internally for 'Cholera Morbus, Cholera Infantum, Coloc, Acute Diarrhea, Colds and Lagrippe' to increase perspiration. Apparently the contents could be applied externally for various other ailments.

History Of Use
Methyl salicylate (oil of wintergreen) can be prescribed as a topical treatment for muscle and joint pain. It is also used as additive for flavour in gum and candy. If ingested undiluted or in high doses, it can be toxic or potentially lethal.

Description
A cream-colored rectangular baby powder tin. The tin has a round shaker lid consisting of seven holes in a circle pattern. The lid moves enabling the holes to be open or closed. Stamped in the center of the lid is 'M, 69 cents'. A pink lattice design is around the top and near the bottom of the sides. On two of the sides are "JOHNSON'S BABY POWDER" and "PUREST PROTECTION" that's in a pink banner. Below the banner is "JOHNSON & JOHNSON". The two remaining sides have a picture of a lady holding a baby. Beside and below this picture is "FRAGILE..., HANDLE WITH JOHNSON"S...THE PUREST PROTECTION". Description
A). A rectangular, metal tin. The inside is plain metal but the bottom and sides have a paper covering. The bottom is white with a sticker that says "11 1/4 ozs. NET WEIGHT". The sides have ripped grey and white paper - the top half of the label has been ripped off. Both long sides has the bottom half of a word in blue writing with "PEEK-FREAN & CO LTD." underneath it. Both short sides have "BISCUIT MANUFACTURER LONDON ENGLAND" in blue and white writing. One side has the remains of a sticker with "PEEK, FREAN (CAN)..". B). The metal lid with a paper label on the front. In white lettering on a blue background it says "PEEK FREAN'S PLAY BOX BISCUITS REGD PEEK, FREAN & CO, LTD., LONDON, ENGLAND. Around this are pictures of cookies with white, pink, red, brown, and blue icing. Drawn on them are designs of animals, tea sets, and people.

These biscuits had a hard icing on them and each one represented different popular nursery rhymes.
