Metal sadiron with removable handle and separate metal trivet. Iron is oval shaped with pointed ends. The top of the iron has a screw head at each pointed end with the center of the top having two pointed openings. The base of the triangles are facing each other. On the outside of the triangles are arched metal lips which are braces for the handle. The handle consists of a round arched piece of varnished wood that is attached to a rectangular piece of metal. In the center of the metal is a clasp with a round, brown wooden knob. The clasp moves up or down to grasp or release the iron base. To one side of the clasp is a thin rectangular piece of metal that controls the pressure for the clasp. On the opposite side of the clasp is an embossed triangle with an "F" inside it. The handle measures 14.4cm in length, 3cm in width and 9.4cm in height. There is a separate rounded triangular shaped metal trivet with three small peg feet. Starting at the ends of the trivet there is a line of circular holes meeting at the pointed to end. The inner part of the trivet is an open criss-cross pattern.
