a) A round, squat tin with red background with a stylized design featuring holly leaves and stars in gold. The bottom of the tin and the outer edge of the lid are bordered in a wave-like pattern, also in gold. The bottom of the tin is gold colored with fragments of paper label. At the center is a small heraldic design with 'BY APPOINTMENT'' BISCUIT & VITA-WEAT' 'CRISPBREAD MANUFACTURERS' below. Also, 'PEEK, FREAN & CO. LTD., BISCUIT MANUFACTURERS, LONDON, ENGLAND'. Below this at the edge of the tin is 'U.K. PATENTS 486002, 486083, 514045, 514046' and 'MADE IN ENGLAND'.

Description
The object has a hard leather case with retrackable cloth tape. Leather case is brown and the stitching is starting to separate. There is a brass knob on the top which is secured by a brass screw which threads through from the bottom of the case. The tape has a 12.8 cm piece of 1.5cm wide leather strap hand sewn onto the beginning of it and has a brass tab on the end. Fabric measure has some numbers visible but is quite worn. "Hockley - England - Abbey" is inscribe on the top.
