Valve has red, round, spoked handle on top connected by two nuts and a threaded bolt to a 17cm round metal shaft. At the end of shaft is a rounded metal insert with one flat side which retracts up into the shaft by adjusting a set screw on the side.

Narrative
Molly Polysou moved to the Bulkley Valley in the 1940s from Austria with her husband. Mr. Polysou worked as a manager for Pacific Northern Gas and died in 1999.

A long narrow "V" shaped metal rod with a wood handle. Metal rod is 55 cm long and wooden handle 10.5cm long. Wooden handle is secured to metal rod with a wide metal band. The word OUZY is marked on one side of the rod just above where it is inserted into the wood handle.
