The Lakes District Secondary School Choir was a volunteer group that formed in September 1964. The group practiced twice a week during lunch hours during the school year. The first directors in 1964 were Mrs. Moria Vine and Mrs. Nona McKinley. Some of its early members were members of the Burns Lake Girls Choir (also known as the Junior Singers).
The record was one of a collection of 200 that was given to the donor by a friend who had lived in Smithers since the 1960s or 1970s.
