The first meeting was held at the Smithers’ Canadian National Railway Station, where Normal Kilpatrick presided as President, and R.W. Champion as Secretary. Later the Canadian Brotherhood of Railroad Employees became the Canadian Brotherhood of Railway Transport and General Workers.
