George Wright was a CNR Conductor who worked on the construction of the Grand Trunk Pacific. He served on the first Smithers Village or Municipal Council.

The American company Bucyrus changed its name to Bucyrus-Erie in 1927 when it merged with the Erie Steam Shovel Company, hence the dating of the photograph.
Names H.S. Parker and J. Scedd__ are written on the front. Stamp on the back says "Len. Hillyard Commercial Photography - Photo Finishing, Box 30 - Saskatoon, Sask." Likely refers to photographer Leonard A. (Len) Hillyard.
