This is a mining booklet and map published by the Smithers Districts Board of Trade. It describes in detail the claims, mines, and owners in the Bulkley Valley.
Arrangement
This was originally described as a personal fonds containing four series: 1. Instructional Materials. 2. Mining Booklet. 3. Greeting Cards. 4. Bible. (1978.123.7, 1978.123.14, 1981.16.1d, 1983.16.2-3, 1983.2.1-5, 1983.59.1-4). Series 1, 3 and 4 were removed as they were non-archival and will be entered into the Artifact database in October 27, 2003 WC. Item description was edited by Manda Haligowski in January 2017.

Henry Gunderson worked as a tie cutter and farm hand in the Bulkley Valley. He lived with his sister, Gertie Gunderson, and Bill Wilson on the Telkwa High Road (close to Moricetown, B.C.)

Item is the diary of Henry Gunderson, depicting his time tie-hacking, working on farms and constructing government roads.
Notes
The identity of the creator was determined by an interview with a pioneer settler, Eleanor Robinson, and note on Sept. 28 "$260.00 due me, Henry Gunderson."
