Description
Metal clothes wringer. This clothes wringer consists of a wooden rectangular water board that is varnished and bevelled on one side. Attached to the top of both ends is a metal brace that looks like tongs. These tong-like braces hold the rubber rollers in place. Attached to one side of the lower roller is an arched metal handle with a wooden oval hand grip. A thin metal bar extends the length of the wringer. Below the bar on both ends is a red metal coil. These coils sit upon the tong-like braces. The coils are held in place by a metal rod that is attached to the clamp underneath the water board. Wing nuts on top of the bar adjust the pressure of the wringer rollers.
Narrative
