Came from a black photo album. Inside the first page was P2644 and this note "To: Joan Muriel and Allan McGill. With Best Wishes. From the United Church Sunday School. Smithers, B.C. June 30th 1935."

"Motorcyclists chart new proposed Alaska Highway
Smithers, British Columbia. Clyde C. "Slim" Williams, left of Adventures Club, Chicago, Ill., and John [L?] Logan, right, of Pittsburgh, PA, 1410 miles of almost unbroken wilderness behind them, leave here for Vancouver, B.C., on the next to the last lap of their cycling back through Alaska. The two men left Fairbanks, Alaska, in their motorbikes on May 14. Nearly six months was needed to traverse the 1410 miles, during most of which they broke trail. From Vancouver the adventurers will head for Washington to give a report on conditions of the proposed route for the Aslaskan Highway. (BU) 11-22-39"

- Slim (Jim) McKinnon was run over by his team at this fair. He also ran a sawmill with Happy Turner. George Storey and his wife Olive lived in Evelyn. They had four children (Ed, Laurie, Kitty, and Mac) and they came to Evelyn in 1924. George was the postmaster and Olive was his assistant. She died in 1978 and he died in 1969.
