- History / Biographical
- The Croteaus arrived to make a home east of Telkwa on the bank above the Bulkley. The farm was situated on both sides of what is now Highway 16, where the Rainbow Trailer Court now stands. The field being plowed adjoined the Dockerill farm. The three horse team was "Zevvie", "Charlie", and "The Bell Mare". Croteau bought the deserted Aldermere buildings for $16 and they were rebuilt to become barns, chicken house and pig house. Hubert Station was across the river aobut 3.5 miles east. William Croteau had a son, Stuart, in 1916.
