- History / Biographical
- Born and raised in the Netherlands, Dirk Septer moved to Canada in 1973 after serving in the Royal Netherlands Air Force. He is an aviation historian and photographer who focuses on the West Coast and the Canadian Arctic. Dirk has published many articles in aviation magazines in and was the lead investigator in the television documentary Lost Nuke, which first aired on the Discovery Channel in 2004. Dirk is a former director and vice president of the Bulkley Valley Museum Society and now lives on Cortes Island, BC. For more detailed information, see finding aid.

- Records were collected by Dirk Septer while researching local history and donated to the Archives in the 1990s. They appear to have been given a new accession number when being arranged in 2004.
