- Notes
- Written on back: "A studio portrait of the Eggleston family, with Alice, her parents, grandparents, and 2 uncles. It is not known if the second lady is an aunt by blood or marriage. From other photographs from the Eggleston Estate, we believe that Alice's parents are the couple standing at left. When Alice was 5 her parents made a trip down to Iowa and then on the Las Angeles to stay the winter with family members. This photograph may have been taken at that time."
