History / Biographical
David Jones was a carpenter and undertaker. The Jones family emigrated to Canada from Aberystwyth, Wales in 1927. Family consisted of David, wife Ann (later earned the nickname "Granny Jones"), sons Dan, Tom, John, and David, and daughters Annie (Wilson) and Margaret (who married CNR employee Leslie Oulton in 1932). David Sr. died in 1942 at the age of 63 and Ann passed away in 1976 at the age of 94. They had 17 grandchildren and at least 20 great-grandchildren.
Geographic Access
Smithers, B.C.
Notes
Doesn't appear to be D. Jones in the photograph (too young); may be the father of his grandchild (either one of his sons or a son-in-law). Looks like David Jr.
