Photo from black photo album which had this written on the first page: "In memory: Howard Sanborn, Hollywood, Calif. Early British Columbia 1900's. Prince Rupert on Skeena River by paddle wheeler to old Hazeltown*** By pack train and small boats on Bulkley River to Telkwa, B.C."
Addressed to Mrs. R.H. Sanborn, San Gabriel, California. Message written on "Feb. 3rd. arrived safely last Friday night at 117 am & 35 below zero, Chill cloudy & as warm(?) as your. Been help settling. Jane perfectly well & don't mind the cold at all. Will write next mail. This mt. is across the river some miles frm us perfectly grand at sunrise. Much lov Dolly"
