John 'Jack' Calvin Carpenter (engineer), Sylva 'Sam' Joseph Mayer (fireman), J.S. Thom (of Hazelton), Otto Thom (of New Hazelton), and possibly Wladyslaw Ciszek (of Hazelton) were among the victims. P. Sterrit (of Kitwanga) was initially reported to be a victim, but later found to be safe.
