History / Biographical
The Telkwa barbeque horse race was called the BV Derby. Usually Roy Wakefield rode Queen, Tom Oxen rode Dr. Paine's Warrior, and Clive Dexter rode a horse of McNeil's. There were often racers from Prince George and Williams Lake.
