- Written on backside of postcard: Added after- "Wiggs says to the only launch to get up Skeena to Hazelton. Taken overland to Aldermere. Then to Francois Lake. Name was Kitexchan. 'Peope of the Big River.'
- The hand written letter- "Dear Mama, Old Matt arrived today.[?] much excited having beat the "Port Simpson" in a race to Hazelton- she is telling me all about the furniture sale etc. That must have been right in the old Jews [?]- ha! Well we conservatives are in power now [?]! Pretty good election eh? The inlands is leaving at 9 in the morning. Love W.J.D" Addressed to Mrs Alexander in Vancouver B.C.
