- History / Biographical
- Houston-area residents and former classmates Bill Dungate and Betty Aitken were married in 1935. From Marks of a Century: A History of Houston, B.C., pg. 67: "The wedding was almost a mishap, since it was to take place in Prince Rupert where Bill was living, and Betty, who was still in Houston, was unable to travel to the coast because heavy rains had washed out the tracks. However, eventually the train came through, and Betty and Bill were married a few days later than originally planned." The couple remained in Prince Rupert until 1943, when they returned to Houston.
