- History / Biographical
- Houston's Volunteer Fire Department was formed after the town's incorporation in 1957. The fire hall was constructed in the mid-1960s and officially opened in 1969. The Centennial Public Library was attached to the right of the fire hall (partially obscured by fire truck in this photo), and the RCMP station to the left.
- Custodial History
- Print was presumably made from a photo taken by Bill Dungate. It came into the possession of Dino Laramie sometime after Dungate's death and was donated by him to the Museum prior to 2020, along with a large number of other Dungate prints and slides. It was accessioned in September/October 2022.
