- History / Biographical
- From Houston Today, February 1st 1984: "This particular piece of art has an interesting story. During a flooding of the St. Lawrence Seaway, a group of men purchased an old house to construct a war museum and during the renovations they found a few of these poems tucked away in a part of the building that was once used as a book shop. [Karen Eady's] dad took them and had them distributed to the various branches in Ontario, while this one, through Karen, found its way all the way to Branch 249 in B.C. The much-appreciated gesture of goodwill will be given a place of prominence in our building, newly installed president Gordon Spratt commented in accepting the gift. And many thanks to Mr. Bill Eady of Branch 48 in Ontario for giving it to Branch 249."
