- Glover lived and raised his family in small cabins on Hudson Bay Mountain and in the Suskwa Valley throughout the 1970s and 1980s. He has worked as a piano tuner, photographer, magazine editor, gardener, and music teacher.

Glover opens the interview by discussing his family, his birth in Germany, and his childhood in Ohio. He relates how the political climate of the U.S. in the early 1970s drove his family to move to Canada, and describes the differences between life in cosmopolitan Toronto and southern Ohio. He also mentions his mother's protest group, the 'Raging Grannies.'
