The Ayliffe family lived in the North Bulkley area from 1913 to 1923, after which they moved to Vancouver Island. This photo seems to have been taken at least a decade after they left northern B.C.
Custodial History
Negative taken by Bill Dungate of a photograph lent to him for reproduction. Donated to the Museum on August 12th 2021 by Dino Laramie.
Scope and Content
Photograph of five members of the Ayliffe family: from l-r George Ayliffe, daughter Doris (in back), wife Annie, daughter Pixie. Daughter Betty in front.
Notes
Photo possibly taken in front of Bill and Betty Dungate's home in Prince Rupert (labelling on original envelope unclear). Appears on pg. 45 of Marks of a Century.
Mr. Ayliffe's first name is usually recorded as George, though he appears in the 1921 Census as "Ernest Gladstone Ayliffe."
