History / Biographical
Eugene ‘Gene’ Barger (1920-2005) was one of eight children of Emery and Lillian Barger, early settlers in the Telkwa area. As an adult he started his own logging company, ran a sawmill, and later worked for Pacific Inland Resources. He was married twice and had four children: Robert, Keith, Brenda, and Judy.
