- History / Biographical
- Frank and Helen Gilbert and their children Louise, Gladys, and Richard (Dick) moved from Stettler, Alberta to the Bulkley Valley in July 1919. The family purchased a farm in the Driftwood hills and worked it for the next three decades. A fourth child, Ron, was born to the Gilberts in 1932. Three of the four Gilbert children went on to raise families in the Bulkley Valley. Louise and her husband John Schroeder took over the family farm after Frank Gilbert's death in 1951. For more information, see finding aid.
