- The Evelyn Farmers' Institute was an organization developed to promote and improve agriculture and animal husbandry in the Evelyn area. One of the longest-lasting Farmers' Institutes in northern B.C., it held its inaugural meeting in 1928 and was active until at least the 1980s.

- The item was donated to the Museum by Mike Wyllie on November 27th 2020 and accessioned into the BVM discrete item collection.
