- Description
- Long buckskin gloves with a flower and butterfly design on the front, done in glass and plastic beads. Colours used are white, brown, blue, green, red, clear, and pink. The tops of gloves are wide enough to cover the bottom of a coat sleeve. The tops of the gloves were cut with a 'pinking shears' for a finished look and lined with a grey fabric lining. There are fringes down one side of the gloves (on the top half).
- History Of Use
- Request sent to donor for more info. Donor is the daughter of Olaf Hanson. Olaf Hanson 1882-1952. He was born in Sweden and arrived in Canada in 1907. He pioneered the north, formed the Hanson Lumber & Timber Co which made & sold railway ties and cedar poles, he was a MP in the Skeena for 15 yrs, was a Swedish consul and a member of the International Fisheries Commission.
