Description
A large, light-colored crockery jug with a dark brown top. The top section is gently curved up toward the center, where there is a short neck. The outside diameter of the jug is larger than the top, creating a flat, 1/2' ledge where the top is joined. A curved handle is attached to the neck and at the edge of the top. Opposite the handle is a patch were the glaze is missing. There is a fragment of a white, yellow and red label on the side with 'HUD.........' and '.....RUM'. There is a red seal to the left of the print.

Light colored crockery jug used to hold rum. Jugs such as this one were made at various potteries during the late 1800's, early 1900's.
