- Galena ore sample is a heavy, brittle, silvery-grey mineral. One portion of a side has been cut with rock saw and is flat and smooth. Mineral sample leaves black film when handled. Some quartz mixed in with galena and a brown material possibly pyrite. Sample formation is jagged on most sides but generally square shaped. A '20' in black lettering is marked on a white circle on sample.
