- Description
- a) A three legged table that slants down. The three legs fold in. The table is in a 'V' shape and has two high sides. The legs are in a 'V' shape also. Each is attached to the table with a metal hinge. Metal piece at end of the narrow point is where part b fits in.
b) The wooden roller is in the shape of a closed umbrella. It has 8 sides (octagon), a wooden handle and a metal point on the end.
- History Of Use
- This butter worker was used for working liquid out of freshly churned butter. To set it up you fold the legs out and set up on a slant. Place a bowl or bucket underneath the small end. This is so that the excess liquid has somewhere to go. The metal end of the wooden roller inserts in the metal piece mounted to the narrow end of the table. Butter placed on the flat top was squeezed by rolling the pin from side to side in an arc-like path.
