A large, heavy, metal cash register with a rectangular wooden base, including a drawer. The wooden drawer is damaged at the top right corner, and it is locked. The entire register is done in a wood grain veneer. It has a curved shoulder projecting at either side. The right shoulder has a removable cover for the tape dispensing mechanism. (0971.0025.0001 B). The rounded front has five vertical rows of keys. Left to right and top to bottom; "A-N", "$90-$10", "$9-$1", "90-1" and "9-1". There are three small windows above the rows reading "$$$" (above alphabetical row), "DOLLARS" (above the "$" rows), and "CENTS" (above the two numerical rows). To the left is a black metal band with five small windows and a chrome-plated lever. The lever is stopped at the bottom window which reads "PAID OUT". The top of the register has two large rectangular windows set one above the other, featuring painted white arrows pointing to the right, where the sales calculation information is displayed. The opposite side of the windows displays similar "DOLLARS" and "CENTS" information for the customer to view. The top window glass is missing on this side. "NATIONAL" is painted in gold script at the center front at both front and back, below the display window.
