Description
A small, glass bottle with a short body, gently sloping shoulders, and a long, very slim straight neck. The neck has a narrow, flared lip at the top, and the glass is unseamed. The neck also has measure markings (in black) from bottom to top, graduated (in 1's) from '0' through '8'. On the bottom back of the bottle's body is a logo showing a stylized Maple Leaf with 'CS' inside the design. On the front is a hexagonal, greyish patch which is designed to be written on. There are faint numbers visible on this patch. Below this is a small, faint 'USA' printed in small dots, and below this is 'K'.
Narrative
Glass bottle that was used at the Telkwa Creamery which operated from 1939-1969.
History Of Use
Glass test-tube-like bottles such as this one were filled with cream and put in a centrifuge. As the tubes spun in the centrifuge the butterfat rose to the top.
