The bottom of the tin and the outer edge of the lid are bordered in a wave-like pattern, also in gold. The bottom of the tin is gold colored with fragments of paper label. At the center is a small heraldic design with 'BY APPOINTMENT'' BISCUIT & VITA-WEAT' 'CRISPBREAD MANUFACTURERS' below. Also, 'PEEK, FREAN & CO. LTD., BISCUIT MANUFACTURERS, LONDON, ENGLAND'. Below this at the edge of the tin is 'U.K. PATENTS 486002, 486083, 514045, 514046' and 'MADE IN ENGLAND'.
b) The lid of the tin which is also red with the same design of holly leaves and stars in gold. It features a picture of a child in a white frilly blouse, holding a bunny. A gold border encircles the picture.
