- Description
- A large, brown cast iron teakettle with an elongated spout and an iron handle. The sides of the kettle are straight, tapering slightly outwards to a broad, flat band at the shoulders. The gently sloping shoulders have a molded joint at front and back, to which the rigid handle is attached. The narrow, oval handle is flattened at both ends, with a thicker, rounded section at the middle. There is a narrow lip around the center opening, and there is a short collar at the base of the long, S-shaped spout where it is attached to the body. The bottom of the kettle has imprinted markings: 'A. KENDRICKS & SONS / 4 PINTS" and 'PATENT NO. 1'. There is no lid.
